Well its been around 2 months almost but i finally caught up to your present day reactions of one piece been awesome seeing your reactions to awesome moments and seeing one piece through the sub considering i watched every episode of one piece dub only (up to 1085). I cant watch anime in sub just not my thing sue me. Gonna be sad not being able to binge one piece with you anymore but atleast now can comment and have it be up to date. Looking forward to more :P

I don't know if Oda has godly mindset or how I interpret it but I love how he's included small details like how Luffy becomes child-like only with his brothers... And how he builds the world from different perspectives in simultaneous times where as most of other stories solely focus on the main character...

Fun fact (but it’s not really fun): sabo heard about ace before but he never got his memories back until he read in the newspaper about sakazuki akainu killing ace. And that’s because (sakazuki) means sake cup, so this fact beside reading about ace is what triggered his memories😢 Oda’s writing is so genius.

to this day the scene of sabo getting his memory back gives me goosebumps

Seeing the back story for Sabo was rather insightful. He truly cares about Luffy. What I find rather strange is everytime we encounter Dragon there is gust of wind involved. He has some kind of control of it being as a devil fruit user or some other way. I'm leaning towards the first personally.

Btw its not just ace dying that reawaked his memory. Sakazuki is also the name of the cup of sake they drank so it was also that.
